OFFICER BRYAN BORDES FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS
 
Bryan Bordes, an active NOPD police officer and a member of the Fraternal Order of Police, passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2016 while working his tour of duty in the New Orleans' French Quarter.
 
Officer Bordes was a 19 year veteran of the New Orleans Police Department.  He was 43 years old. 
 
On Friday, July 8, 2016, a public visitation will be held at the Rhodes Funeral Home, located at 3933 Washington Ave., in New Orleans.  The visitation will take place from 4pm to 7pm.
 
On Saturday, July 9, 2016 a public viewing and memorial service will be held at Household of Faith  located at 9300 I-10 Service Rd, in New Orleans East.  The viewing will take place from 11am to 2pm, and will be followed by the memorial service. 
 
Immediately following the memorial services, the New Orleans Police Dept. will lead a procession to Officer Bordes' last assignment in the 8th District. 
 
Interment will be private.

Bryan Bordes departed this life on Sunday July 3, 2016 at the age of 43. Husband of Collette L. Bordes. Son of Elaine Wells and Douglas Wells. Father of Amanda, Jessica and Jonah Bordes. Brother of Christina Stewart (Isaac) and Tanterice Wells. Godfather of Christopher Wells. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, pastors, officers and members of Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church and Sixth Baptist Church, also employees of NOPD, OPCSO, JPSO, Acadia Parish Police Department, Plaquemines Parish Police Department and ATC Group Services are invited to attend a Visitation on Friday, July 8, 2016 at D.W. Rhodes Chapel, 3933 Washington Ave. from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at Household of Faith Family Worship Church International, 9300 I-10 Service Rd. at 2:00 pm. Viewing will begin at 11:00 am. Interment: Private.
